The summer holidays are over, my son is due back at school in a few days, the deadline for me to complete my structural edits for my 2025 book is fast approaching, and the paperback of Every Move You Make is published on 12th September!
Not so much sliding into autumn but slamming straight into it!
Once the structural edits have been delivered I won’t have more than a week or two before the line edits arrive, then it’s copy edits, then page proofs and, at some point, a discussion will take place about advanced reader copies and the design of the hardback cover.
I’m guessing I will finally get a bit of breathing space to think about the NEXT book in November as I also have quite a few events left in my diary between now and then.
I’m doing events in Stirling and Bristol in September, then in October I’ll be in Chiltern, teaching in Cricieth, Wales with Clare Mackintosh, and then I’m off to Dublin for Murder One.
That’s likely to be my last event for this year but I’m already excited for March 2025 when I’ll be in Whitley Bay for Bay Tales.
